Here is my somewhat brief bio. I’m a product of my New Jersey upbringing. I attended Montclair Kimberly Academy in my home town of Montclair, where I was an average student at best. From there I attended Northeastern University on a soccer scholarship and had exceptional grades. Upon graduating from college I embarked on a life changing management training program (a doing door to door sales job) at JPG Marketing located in Malden, MA.
In 2005 I started my first company called MyBike with hopes of being an overnight success.
In September of 2006 I swallowed my pride by taking a desk job as a head hunter at Michael Page International. After using up all my vacation time, I quit my first and last desk job in January of 2007.
In March of 2007 I took a job at Viking Sports because I needed money while also growing MyBike.
In August of 2007 I met a very attractive nanny while working at Viking Sports and in December 2008 me and the nanny got engaged.
In 2010 I moved MyBike from a home office with a storage unit into a brick and mortar windowless basement location in South Boston and also I hired my first employee, Steve Mahoney. Also in 2010 I got married. Also also, in 2010 I found out I was going to be a dad. And if I didn’t have enough change in 2010, I quit working at Viking only to have the conversation end with me verbally agreeing to buy Viking. In November 2010 I went to the doctor with neck pain and was diagnosed with “stress” (I put it in quotes because at the time I never felt stress. I can tell you from experience, that stress is very real).
May 12, 2011 me and my Viking co-worker, Zach Lerman, bought Viking Sports and my life changed. July 1, 2011 I became a dad and my whole life changed again.
April 2012 MyBike moved to a larger space. October of 2012 me and Jen (the nanny) found out we were expecting our second child, also that same night I was being recognized by the Boston Business Journal for being one of the top 40 business people under 40 in Massachusetts.
May 2013 our daughter was born. September 2013 we bought a house and MyBike moved into a ginormous retail space at 391 W Broadway in South Boston.
October 2014 we found out we were having our third child.
April 2015 our third child was born.
January 2016 we built the Viking Activity Center. October 2016 I focused 100% of my energy on Viking Sports.
March 2017 Viking Sports becomes an award winning sports camp.
2018 Viking becomes the largest private recreation company in Massachusetts.
September 2019 Viking Sports partners with the New England Revolution.
January 2020 until now was as the best family time spent where me and my wife used the worlds ills, with our kids, as a current example as to why we are raising them to change the world for the better.
And the best is yet to come.

Leroy, I read your bio and lookedat the mybike site but it looked quite out of date. (I also spent 3-4 years with Page Group) long time ago.I am looking at starting a bike business in the UK – is your site defunct ie you changed to Viking? Wondered if you may sell the site name or pass on if its not still an active venture/ your focus?
If I expand in US – there maybe a chapter there with you… you sound an interesting guy?? let me know

Hey Duncan- Thanks for the note and I’m sorry it took so long to respond! The site domain is still active, but I’m always willing to chat business with driven people as you never know what kind of opportunities can result… especially around domain names. If you expand to the US please drop me a line as parts of the US market can be tricky to adapt to.
